Monitor asset performance, downtime, and production in one platform.

On-premise monitoring and analysis of asset and production performance for process plant environments.

Product Overview

FixedPlantIQ is an on-premise software platform designed to monitor asset performance, downtime, and production across process plant environments.

The system connects to existing plant data sources to provide consistent visibility of operational performance and enable practical reliability and continuous improvement incentives.

FixedPlantIQ is designed to fit into existing plant operations and systems, rather than replace them.

What Problems FixedPlantIQ Solves?

Core System Behaviour

Once configured, the system connecting to plant networks to monitor asset and process performance against defined targets.

  • Understand where and why performance loss.

  • Identify recurring downtime and slow-running conditions.

  • Track production performance across shifts and longer timeframes.

  • Support structured root cause analysis and signals.

  • Provide consistent reporting across management levels.

How Does FixedPlantIQ Work?

FixedPlantIQ is a flexible, user-configurable application that can be tailored to site-specific requirements, asset definitions, and operational preferences.

Core System Behaviour

Once configured, the system connects directly to plant networks and continuously monitors asset and process performance against defined targets.

FixedPlantIQ automatically detects and records performance events such as:

  • Equipment stoppages
  • Slow-running or degraded performance conditions

For each event, the system captures and stores the relevant supporting operational data, providing the context required for effective analysis and decision-making.

Event Investigation and Improvement

Captured performance events can trigger structured "5 Why" investigations, supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

This enables engineering and operational teams to:

  • Understand why events occurred
  • Identify underlying failure mechanisms
  • Define and track corrective actions

Over time, this builds a reliable foundation for improving asset performance and reducing repeat events.

Production Tracking & Analysis

In parallel with event monitoring, FixedPlantIQ captures and aggregates production data across:

  • Shifts
  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months

This allows production performance to be tracked, analysed, and compared over time, supporting both short-term operational management and longer-term performance trending.

Configuration, Help & Support

FixedPlantIQ includes inbuilt configuration tools that allow users to manage all configurable aspects of the system directly, without reliance on vendor intervention. The tools are designed for plant-based engineers and operations teams, using intuitive actions and familiar concepts.

User Configuration

Authorised users can configure and maintain the system to reflect how their site operates, including the ability to:

  • Modify cause codes and event classifications
  • Align asset and process structures to site standards
  • Adjust budgets, targets, and production forecasts
  • Smooth and manage noisy or unstable signals
  • Build shared reports and dashboards for teams
  • Create individual dashboards and personal favourites
  • Administer site users and manage permissions as roles change

This ensures the system evolves as the plant, team, and operational priorities change.

Help and Knowledge Base

User knowledge is supported through a comprehensive in-application Knowledge Base, accessible directly from the Help module. This includes:

  • Step-by-step “how-to” procedures for common tasks
  • Guidance on best practices and recommended workflows

Support Access

Where additional assistance is required, users can raise support requests directly from within the application, providing access to a service desk and ensuring a FixedPlantIQ product expert is only a click away.

This model balances user control and self-sufficiency with access to expert support when needed.

IT and OT Setup

Following licence confirmation, FixedPlantIQ works with the site IT team to confirm database and infrastructure requirements. This step focuses on preparing the OT environment for installation and ensuring alignment with site security and IT/OT standards.

The deployment model is on-premise, with the application installed within the OT network to maximise security and control.

Configuration and Startup

With the standard startup package, configuration can be completed by site engineers, supported by the FixedPlantIQ team. This enables:

  • Rapid setup aligned to site standards
  • Knowledge transfer to site personnel
  • Early operational value

In most cases, the system can be configured and operational within days.

Alternatively, FixedPlantIQ can perform all or part of the configuration on behalf of the site, depending on customer preference.
