Missing investigation after classification

Symptoms

  • When the user classifies an event and expecting an investigation to be triggered, no investigation is triggered.

Diagnosis

  • 5 Why investigation is triggered in the Downtime unit.

  • Note the Effective Duration of the event.

  • Note the  5Y Trigger settings in Configuration > Monitoring > Downtime

Solution

  • If the Effective Duration is less than 15 minutes no 5 Why will be triggered because the smallest trigger we support is 15 Minutes.

  • Check the Server logs for exceptions.
