How to split a Downtime Event
Splitting by time
Any captured event can be split by time in Fixed Plant IQ. If you take for example, a mill, Utilization (or Availability) events will appear any time the mill if off. If you know there are multiple reasons for the event, follow the steps below to split the event by time:
- Choose the event, right click and select "Split." OR alternatively, you can click the Split button.
- A window will pop up that shows the event and the slider button.
- Drag the slider to the point where you need to make the split in time.
- Click Save.
- The original event has now created two separate events that can be appropriately classified.
Splitting by depth
Certain events may also need to be split by depth. Looking at the same mill from the example above, a Rate (or Performance) loss event will be created any time the feed tonnes drop below the set target. If you know there are multiple reasons for the event, follow the steps below to split by depth:
- Choose the event, right click, and select "Split" OR alternatively, you cam click the Split button.
- Use the depth slider to drag the button to the point you need to make the split.
- Click save.
- The original event has now created two separate events that can be appropriately classified above and below the split line.
